A Drink Of Living Water

Good Tuesday Morning Blog Family. Praying everyone’s having a great day in the Lord. Hallelujah!

I have two green plants sitting on my bar between the kitchen and dining aera. One day I was walking by them and I noticed they were a little droopy and needing to be watered. So, I proceeded to water them and within a few hours, I noticed they were standing tall and flourishing once again. When they are watered and cared for, they are so green and beautiful.

Now, I don’t know how you care for your plants if you have any. I am the one that walks by and notice how beautiful my plants are and will stop and talk to them. Telling them how beautiful they are and how green and shiny and healthy they look. Giving them a lot of love and plant based compliments and I believe it works. I have heard that if you talk to your plants and love them, it will affect the way they grow and I see it actually does work.

As I was caring for my plants, I thought about our lives as Christians. How when we are weak and drooping, that is when we need to take a drink of the Living Water that comes from Jesus. Once we have taken that drink, like my plants. We began standing tall and flourishing once again in Jesus. Also, when we take the time to compliment someone and say something nice to them it will affect that person just as it affects the plants. Everyone feels better when they are treated and talked to a certain way, a good positive way not a bad negative way.

John 4:6-14 reads, Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon. When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.[a])10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

So, have you had your drink of Living Water today? If not, it’s probably time for a drink. God Bless 🙂
