A Prayer For Our Children

Today’s blog will be a little different. I would like to dedicate today’s blog to our children. Our children are in trouble and we need to pray for them and keep them lifted up in prayer. Every time you turn on the news, there is a child missing, bullied, abused, molested, beaten, raped or dead.

We used to only have to warn our children about strangers. Don’t talk to strangers and don’t take anything from strangers. If a stranger tells you to get in the car with them, don’t. Scream and run as fast as you can so someone will notice you. They were instructed not to go into a house of anyone they did not know or tell if anyone touches you in certain places.

Things have changed and for the worse. How do you warn a child about their own parents, relatives or close family friends? The parents are the people that are supposed to love and protect them from harm and danger. Now, they have to be protected from the parents.

What does the Bible say about people who hurt children? Luke 17:2 reads “It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.” Let us say a prayer for our children in Jesus name.

Father God, I come to you in the name of Jesus, my Lord and Savior. Lifting up our children to You. I am praying for their protection and safety, not just from strangers but from their parents, relatives and family friends as well. I ask You to place your hedge of protection around them, cover them in the Blood of Jesus and keep Your Hand on them. Father, You call children a blessing and a gift from You and I am asking that You protect that blessing and that gift from evil people. From people that are only out to harm and hurt them. Thank you Father for all You have done, all You are doing and all You will do. I ask this for all of the children every where, in Jesus name I pray. Amen, Amen and Amen
