Are You An Imitator Of God?

Good Monday Morning Blog Family. Well, we are starting a new week and I pray everyone has been before the Father for weekly instructions. Now that we have received those instructions, make sure to be obedient and follow what you have been given. Thank You Jesus.

This morning I would like to share some scripture with you, which I believe is a great way to start a Monday morning. Take this as just a little reminder as how we as Christians are to walk in this journey God has blessed us to be on. In Ephesians 5:1-21, the scriptures are very simple as to how this is to be done God’s way and not our ways. Please read below.

Walk in Love

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For [a]this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them.

Walk in Light

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the [b]Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather [c]expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are [d]exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. 14 Therefore He says:

“Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light.”

Walk in Wisdom

15 See then that you walk [e]circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of [f]God.

Now, that was some very good reading this morning and it will also make you pay attention on your actions throughout the day. As Christians, we are children of God and how we carry ourselves is a representation of God. So, we should be careful of the things that come out of our mouths, the company we keep, the things we allow to go into our ears and hearts, the places we go and the things we do. Remember what you have read this morning in Ephesians 5:1-21 and make sure to be obedient. Praise the Name of Jesus. God Bless 🙂

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we come to You this morning in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Your Son and our Lord and Savior. Giving You all of the praise and glory that belongs to You. We thank You for Your Holy Word, that we may go to the scripture and get Your instructions on how we are to represent You. How we are to walk and talk on this journey called life that You have blessed us to be on. Life can be very easy if we just follow You and Your instructions and be obedient. Thank You Father for loving us so much. Amen
