Hello God’s Children and Happy Wednesday morning to you. I pray all is well with you and your families so far this week. Walking in the blessings of our Heavenly Father.
Today’s blog is for the Women, my Sister’s in Christ. I would like to share something I read from “The Power of a Praying Woman” by Stormie Omartian. She is one of my favorite Christian authors and her books are so life changing. If you haven’t read any of her books, I strongly recommend that you do. I have read “The Power of a Praying Wife” which is a must read if you are married. Also, I bought my husband “The Power of a Praying Husband” which is also a must read for your husband. You should also read her book on the Holy Spirit, amazing.
Now, I would like to share this prayer with you that I read in “The Power of a Praying Woman. ” The prayer reads, “Lord, show me what is in my heart, soul, mind, spirit, and life that shouldn’t be there. Teach me what I am not understanding. Convict me where I am missing the mark. Tear down my arrogance, pride, fear, and insecurities, and help me to see the truth about myself, my life, and my circumstances. Expose me to myself, Lord. I can take it. Enable me to correct the error of my ways. Help me to replace lies with truth and make changes that last.” Wow, what a prayer!
Stormie said, “It takes courage to pray a prayer like this,” and I so agree with her. When you just look at what you are praying for the Lord to help you do in this prayer. It really does take a lot of courage to go before the Lord and just put everything on the table. Asking Him to show you all of the good, the bad and the ugly. Helping you to change what needs to be changed and get rid of what needs to be gotten rid of. This is not just your every day prayer, this is a serious life changing prayer that we all need to pray.
So Sisters, take a look at yourselves and think about your lives. Are there changes that need to be made, serious changes? If so, are you brave enough to pray this prayer? God Bless π
