Be Still And Know

Hello Blog Family. I pray everyone’s still doing well and in good spirits. Staying connected to God and placing all of your trust in Him. Believing what He has told us in Psalm 91, our Prayer of Protection. Knowing that He is protecting us and delivering us from this perilous pestilence. Praise God.

I would like to first apologize for not posting a Friday’s Prayer. I logged on Friday to post and the system was down on their end, not mine and I was not able to write or post my blog. So. I am doing a blog today (Sunday) and will be back on my regular schedule Monday morning.

People, we have got to obey the leaders in authority. If they are telling us to stop moving around so much, that is what we need to do. What they are telling us is for ours as well as everyone else’s good. So, this virus can stop being spread so quickly. That is why we are in this predicament now, being disobedient and not doing what God has told us to do. God even tells us in His Holy Word to submit to the authorities in leadership. Romans 13:1-2 reads. ” (1)Let everyone be subject of the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. (2) Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.” So, please do what is asked of you. Stay inside and move only when necessary.

We as Christians should know this in not just about the coronavirus, it is so much more than that. If you are not familiar with Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible, I suggest you go to Genesis 19 and read it for yourself. Even though it was about a lot of homosexuality going on that displeased God, the place was still destroyed. As I said before, sin is sin no matter how big or small. There’s a lot of sinning going on down here, and it’s more than homosexuality. This world is a mess right now and God is the only one that can fix it. 2 Chronicles 7:14 reads, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and heal their land.” So, there you have it. God has told us in His Holy Word what we need to do and He will heal our land.

Psalm 46:10 reads, “He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” So, God is going to be exalted among the nations and in the earth, no matter what. So, we may as well buckle down and do things the way God has instructed us to do them. Because He is going to have His way, whether we make it easy or hard. God is God and He has spoken and it will come to pass as He has said. Get in the Word, spend time with God, fall on your face and pray, ask God to forgive you for your sins and be obedient.
