Being A Psalm 15 Christian

Good Thursday Morning Blog Family. Today is another blessed day filled with God’s grace and mercy. Aren’t you glad you belong to God? I know I am. Praise God.

This morning I will be sharing another scripture reading. When I do my Bible reading and devotions in the morning, I always come across scriptures I feel I need to share. This morning I will be sharing Psalm 15, which is a very short Psalm but very powerful. Please read below.

Psalm 15

A psalm of David.

Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord?
Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right,
speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
Those who refuse to gossip
    or harm their neighbors
or speak evil of their friends.
Those who despise flagrant sinners,
and honor the faithful followers of the Lord,
and keep their promises even when it hurts.
Those who lend money without charging interest,
and who cannot be bribed to lie about the innocent.
Such people will stand firm forever.

Now, that spoke a lot to me. I posted from the New Living Translation because I love the way it read. You can read this in your Bible as well. I read it in the NIV and the NKJV, then I read it in the NLT. When I read it in the NLT, it just seemed to have went a little deeper. There’s no way you can read this scripture reading and not be affected by it. Especially if you actually think about what it’s saying to you. We are being told the types of people that may worship the Lord in His sanctuary and enter into His presence. I don’t know about you, but I definitely want to be that person.

As I have said so many times before, this is why it is so important to read and study your Bible. He tells us everything we need to know and everything we need to do as a Child of God. He made being a Christian very easy, we make it hard when we are disobedient. All we have to do is to read the Word and follow His instructions, it’s really just that simple. Everything has already been layed out for us because He lives us so much. He is a good, good Father and He wants to take care of us if we let Him. Think about it. God Bless 🙂

Prayer

Father God, we come to You in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Thanking You for accepting us and allowing us to be a part of Your family. Thanking You for Your Holy Word as our road map on this journey. Help us to read and study more and to be obedient and follow Your instructions. We love You. Amen
