Good Tuesday Morning Blog Family and Happy 4th of July. I pray you and your loved ones are having a safe and blessed week so far. Praying that you are allowing God to lead and guide you every step of the way and being covered in the Blood of Jesus. Praise God.
This morning I would like to share some scripture that I read in one of my morning devotions. When I read the scripture, I felt I needed to share it with all of you. So, I decided that would be my blog post this morning and as I read it again, I knew I needed to share it. The scripture is from 2 Corinthians 5:11-20 and I pray it gets your attention like it did mine.
The Ministry of Reconciliation
11 Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience. 12 We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us, so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart. 13 If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. 14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
So, after reading the above scripture, I went on to do a little further research on reconciliation and I found some awesome readings. I found this documentation in Bible Study Tools, “Reconciliation has to do with the relationships between God and man or man and man. God reconciles the world to himself ( 2 Cor 5:18 ). Reconciliation takes place through the cross of Christ or the death of Christ. Second Corinthians 5:18 says that “God reconciled us to himself through Christ.” God reconciles us to himself through the death of his Son ( Rom 5:1 ). Thus, we are no longer enemies, ungodly, sinners, or powerless. Instead, the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit whom he has given to us ( Rom 5:5 ). It is a change in the total state of our lives. Reconciliation is the objective work of God through Christ ( 2 Cor 5:19 ). But it is also a subjective relationship: “Be reconciled to God” ( 2 Cor 5:20 ). Thus, it is Christ through the cross who has made reconciliation possible, for “God made him to be sin for us” ( 2 Cor 5:21 ).

Heavenly Father, we come to You in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Your Son and our Lord and Savior. Giving You all of the honor, praise and glory that belongs to You. Thanking You for such a blessed and awesome life that You have given us through Your Son Jesus Christ. Because of Jesus, we are able to be reconciled to You and experience all that You have for us as Your children. Thank You for allowing us to be a part of Your family now and forever. Amen.
