Choose God and Flee Temptation

Good Tuesday Morning Blog Family. I pray your day has been started by getting in the presence of God this morning, spending a little time with Him. Praise God.

Well, today is a brand new day, full of the the Grace and Mercy of God. Being given another opportunity to live for God and give Him all of the Praise, Honor and Glory that He so rightly deserve. Living our lives in a way that pleases Him, what comes out of our mouths, how we treat others, the places we go and the way we dress. Believe it or not, it all speaks to our Heavenly Father and those things say a lot about us and not just to God, but to others. We have to be very careful when we wear that title as Christian but living under the title of the world. There is a choice to be made and I pray you have made the correct choice and that is to live for Jesus, with Him being your Lord and Savior.

You know, sometimes it is very easy to get of that chosen path and not even think about what we are doing. That’s how we get tripped up on this journey, because we sometimes lose our focus and get distracted by things of this world. Things of this world can look so much better than what God is offering us, but trust me it is not. Looks can be very deceiving and a lot of times they are just that, deceiving. A trap that has been set to lure you away from what God has for you. I pray that you will stay in the Word and be able to not fall into these temptations. Matthew 26:41 reads, “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” So, the Word has been spoken and told us how to keep from falling into temptation, watch and pray. Because God knows that our flesh is weak and we can’t do this on our own, that is why we have Jesus and the Holy Spirit to help us. Praise God.

As I have always said in previous posts, it is so important to stay in the Word and stay connected to God. Because you won’t know how to live this life the way God intends for us to live it if we don’t read the Bible and find out how. God gives us all of the instructions in His Holy Word to do whatever it is we need to do and how to do it in our Christian walk. He didn’t just throw us out here to do all of this on our own, He knew we would need help, that’s why He sent Jesus and His Holy Spirit. He actually made things very easy for us, we just have to follow instructions and be obedient. If we do things the way He tells us to, this life would be so much easier and we would be so much happier. Just take a minute and think about it. Look at how God tells us to live and look at the choices you have made and see which is the better way.

Joshua 24:14-15 reads, 14 “Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” For me. I choose God. God Bless 🙂

Prayer

Father, we come to You in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Your Son and our Lord and Savior. Thank You Father for giving us Your Son Jesus and Your Holy Spirit. You knew that we could not do this on our own and we thank You for all that You did for us. Thank You for Your Holy Word which teaches us to live this life the way You planned it. Thank You for loving us so much. Amen
