Choose The Good Part & Sit At The Masters Feet

Good Tuesday Morning Blog Family. Today is another beautiful day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Thank You Jesus.

So, I have been in San Antonio since last Wednesday visiting with my brother and sister. This has been the best time ever and they made sure of it. I also met my new brother-in-law and my brothers girlfriend and they are both amazing people. I feel like I have gained another brother and sister. God is so good and I am so thankful that he allowed this visit to take place. He knew this is something we needed to do and we will be forever grateful.

Have you ever read a book or something that was so good you read it more than once? I do this all of the time especially when I’m reading biblical reading material. The reading will be so good and I usually read straight through it and then go back and read it again to get what I missed the first time. Sometimes I will even read it again to highlight all of the things I don’t want to forget and can go back and read as a reminder from time to time. I love to read so I am always reading my Bible, books, devotions or something that will help me or teach me about my Christian walk. The devotions I read every morning are so amazing and I have learned and still learning so much from reading them.

Like part of the devotion I shared on Monday written by Rebekah M. Barrett titled, “Seek Me First.” I read that devotion I know three times because it was so good and it made me think about my own walk with the Lord. There are so many awesome children of God that will share their testimonies and experiences for others to read and possibly relate and I think that is amazing. Because anything that we go through whether good or bad, someone else is going through or has gone through that same thing. So, when we share our testimonies and experiences, it may very well help someone else that may be struggling with that same issue. Our Bible has all of the answers we will ever need to anything we may ever face and the Holy Spirit is always there to guide you through it.

Reading your Bible is the most important Book you will ever read as a Christian. Why? Because as a child of God, this is our instruction manual that teaches us how to live this life that God has blessed us with. Our Heavenly Father didn’t just put us here and then we have to figure out what we are suppose to do an how to do it. No. He gave us His Holy Word in a book (Bible) that tells everything we need to know about walking on this journey called life. I love the Book of Ephesians because it tells you in plain simple words how God expects us to do this and do it His way. It tells you what to do, how to do, where to go, where not to go, what to say, what not to say, and on and on. This is why reading the Bible is so important and so beneficial to us as a child of God.

Yes, I read my Bible everyday along with other biblical books and readings. As I said earlier, I love to read and I am reading something all of the time. So, if I am constantly learning about God and His Word and I am, that means I are constantly growing in the Lord. Getting closer and closer to Him everyday and it doesn’t get any better than that. I try and live my life each day in a way that pleases my Father, because my goal is that when it is my time to stand before Him. I want to hear Him say, “Well done my good and faithful servant.” This is why I read and study everyday and try to live a life that is pleasing to God, as 2 Timothy 2:15 reads, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Today there are so many distractions in this world. Make a decision today to give God more of your time and get before Him in His presence. Sit down and read and study your Bible or read a good devotion or biblical based book. Remember what Jesus told Martha when she was complaining to Him about Mary not helping her serve everyone? Luke 10:40-42 reads, “(40)But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” (41)And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. (42)But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” Choose that good part, take some time and sit at the Masters Feet. God Bless πŸ™‚

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we come to You in the Mighty Name of Jesus as Your children. Giving You all of the honor, praise and glory that belongs to You. Thanking You, Jesus and the Holy Spirit for all You have done, all You are doing and all You will do in the lives of Your children. Give us the desire in our hearts to want to take the time to sit at the Feet of Jesus an choose the good part. Allowing Jesus to lead and guide us in the way He would have us go with the help of the Holy Spirit. Help us to stay on the path that You chose for us and be obedient to Your Word. Reading and studying to show ourselves approved before You. We love You. Amen
