Christians, Watch And Pray

Good Wednesday Morning Blog Family. How’s everyone doing this beautiful morning? You may ask, how is this a beautiful morning with everything that’s going on in the world? Well, I can say that because it is a gorgeous sunny day and I belong to God and this is a day that He has made. So, that makes it a beautiful morning, to me. Praise God.

I look at what is going on in our world today and how things have changed. When you go to the Bible and read about things that will take place during the end times, it makes you stop and think. Is this what we are going through now? This is why Jesus tells us to watch and pray and don’t be caught off guard. Luke 21:34 reads, “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap.” The words watch and pray was also mentioned again in 21:36 which reads, “Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” As I read about this scripture, the word watch means, “to have the alertness of a guard at night.” Things can be seen more clearly in the daytime because of the light, but more difficult to see at night because of the darkness. Day and night, we need to watch and pray and not be caught off guard.

So, say we are living in the end times and the time is drawing near of the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Are you ready for that day and time of Jesus’s return, that is not known by anybody but God. 1 Thessalonians 5:2 reads, “For you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.” We all know that a thief does not let you know ahead of time when he plans on breaking into your house. He shows up when you least expect him, when your guard is down. This is how Jesus will return for us, as a thief in the night and I pray that you will be ready when that time comes.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 reads, “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.” When you read the above scripture, we are seeing all of this happening right now.

So, if you are not ready for Jesus return, I would advise you to get ready. For we do not know what day and time that will be. God Bless 🙂

Prayer

Father God, we come to You this morning in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Thanking you for this beautiful day that You have made and we will rejoice and be glad in it. Asking that You help us to stay alert and watch for the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Praying that we will all be ready. Thank You Father and Amen.
