Connected to the Power

I would like to share a recent experience with you. On Wednesday night (6/19/19) we were hit with a very bad storm. I don’t think I have ever gone through anything like that and it was very scary. The clouds were very dark and it looked like a tornado was going to drop out any minute. The lightning created a light show that completely lit up the house because the lights were out due to no electricity. The wind was blowing so hard and the rain was really coming down. Some seem to think we had a tornado touch down, due to a lot of trees and power lines down everywhere.

So, for the next 21 hours we were without any power. We had no electricity which means we had no lights, no air conditioner, no use of the stove or microwave, no cold refrigerator, nothing that required electricity. Also, keep in mind that it was 95 degrees yesterday, a very miserable day.

This whole experience made me think about our connection to our power, which is God. See, pretty much everything in our house is connected to the electric company which gives things power to operate. Without connection to that power, everything is useless, nothing works. But as soon as the connection is made with the power from the electric company, everything is working again.

Think about what our lives would be like if we lost connection with our power, God. Because everything in our body (our house) is connected to God. Basically, nothing would work the way He intended for it to work. There would be blessings we would miss out on. Prayers that would not be answered. Healing’s that would not manifest. Not being able to hear that small still voice because there would be no connection. There would be no peace in our lives. What a miserable way to live.

With that being said, please do whatever it takes to stay connected to your power source, God. Have a blessed and God filled day 🙂
