Good Wednesday Morning Blog Family. I pray all of you and your families are doing well this beautiful day that the Lord has made. I also pray that you spent some time with Him this morning before you started your day. Praise His Holy Name.
Well, today family I am going to talk a little about something that I am sure we have all experienced at one time or another. I am talking about anxiety. This is something that is a little new to me because I have been diagnosed with anxiety. I have been dealing with some health issues and not knowing exactly what was causing the sudden change and not knowing what to do about it. I was in and out of emergency rooms and my doctors office and after testing for a lot of things, all test results were good. This I was not understanding at all, it did not make sense to me. What I was feeling was real to me but apparently it was the anxiety making these things seem real when actually they were not. At times I was thinking I was trying to have a heart attack and other times I felt like I was trying to have a stroke and having shortness of breath and very dizzy and a lot of other feelings. That is when I found out that anxiety is real and a lot of people deal with it.
So, I went to God and talked to Him about this and did a lot of praying. I found devotions on anxiety that I read and study every morning. I have pulled up scriptures to find out what God says about anxiety in His Word. I am determined to get this under control instead of letting it take control of me and I am going to do it God’s way. Yes, I was advised to talk with a therapist that deals with anxiety in order to be given some tools and things to do when it starts to come on me. So, I found me a Christian therapist so I will still be getting the help I need through the Word of God. I have learned to seek God in all things, whether big or small.
I have listed some to the scriptures for anxiety below just in case any of you are dealing with anxiety as well.
Philippians 4:6-7: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
John 14:27: Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Isaiah 41:10: “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my right hand.” A reminder that God will give people the strength to fight anxiety.
Matthew 6:25-34: 25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one [a]cubit to his [b]stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not [c]arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Jesus says “do not be anxious ” three times, and also gives seven reasons why people shouldn’t be anxious.
1 Peter 5:7: Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
There are so many scriptures in the Bible about anxiety and how God will help you get through it and I am so thankful and grateful. So, if you are having anxiety, go to the God and allow Him to help you because He will. God Bless 🙂
