Friday’s Prayer

Happy Friday! I pray everyone had a blessed week and ready for the weekend. In case you haven’t noticed, I have decided to make my blog on Friday’s a day to pray for specific things. So, this Friday’s Prayer, I am going to pray for our truck drivers. Why? Because my husband and so many other men and women are truck drivers. That is not an easy job and it can be dangerous at times. I have worked for two transportation companies and I know a few men and women who have chosen this profession. Most of them are over the road which means they are away from home long periods of time. Which is not easy on them or their families. So please join me in praying for these men and women .

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. First, thanking You, Jesus and the Holy Spirit for all You have done, all You are doing and all You will do. Today I am lifting up our truck drivers to You in prayer.

Those men and women that take time away from their families to make sure other families have the supplies they need. Traveling the highways and byways, day and night, good weather and bad weather. They have a job to do and they need Your protection to do it well and be safe while doing it. Protect them while they are delivering and picking up in strange or unsafe places. Help them to always be alert and to always trust You for guidance. Let them know when it is time to stop and rest and sleep. Touch their hearts and minds to stay away from the bad truck stops and all that comes with it. Allow them to be able to take care of themselves, eating healthy and getting exercise when possible. Father, be with them no matter where they are, in or out of their trucks.

Father, these men and women are husbands and fathers, wives and mothers. Protect their families in their absence. Isaiah 41:10 reads, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” We thank You Father in advance for what we know is already done. Amen, Amen and Amen.

So, the next time you are out and you run into a truck driver. Take a minute to thank them for the job they do for your family as well as theirs. Let them know that they are appreciated and that you are praying for them. God Bless πŸ™‚
