Fridays’ Prayer

Good Friday Afternoon Blog Family. Well, we made it through another week, praise God. Whole, healthy, healed and complete in the Mighty Name of Jesus. It is time for Friday’s Prayer and today I will be praying for our Black boys and men, our Black race. I posted this prayer before, but I felt the need to re-post. Although some things have changed since this was first posted. The four officers responsible for the death of George Floyd has been arrested and charged. Thank You Jesus. Please join me in prayer.

Father God, I come to you in the name of Jesus, my Lord and Savior. First giving You all the Glory, all the Honor and all the Praise You so rightly deserve. Thanking You, Jesus and the Holy Spirit for all You have done, all You are doing and all You will do.

Lord, we know that You see and are aware of all the mess that is going on down here. The covid-19 has taken so many lives and changed the way of life as we know it. Now, satan has risen his ugly head in the form of racism, killing innocent people, especially our Black men and boys. Racism is very ugly and it is showing up more and more everyday. We ask You in the Mighty Name of Jesus to do what only we know You can do. Our adult Black men are doing all they know to do to try and stay alive. We are having to explain to our young black boys what is going on and trying to teach them what to do and not to do, in order stay alive. Lord we need Your help.

We have always been taught that the police were put in place to help us. Now, we are needing help and protection from the police. They seem to have taken it upon themselves to take lives of any boy or man that is black, whether they are innocent or guilty, it doesn’t matter to them. Father, this is wrong and there seems to be not much we can do about it. Lord, we need You to lead and guide us as to what to do and how to do it, in a way that will still please You and give You all the Glory.

We are also praying for the family of George Floyd, the innocent Black man that was killed by a white police officer in public. While other police officers and people stood around and watched and did nothing. The officers were fired but not arrested as they should have been and people are angry. We are also praying for the city of Minneapolis as it is being destroyed and burned by angry people wanting to see justice for George Floyd. Wanting to see the officers arrested and charged for what they have done, taking an innocent life because of the color of his skin.

Father God, we know that You have heard our prayers and we know that You are already working. We know that You were already working this out before we lifted our voices up to You. You are an all seeing, all knowing and all wise God and we thank You for what we know is already done. In the Mighty Name of Jesus we pray. Amen, Amen and Amen. God Bless 🙂
