Good Friday Morning Blog Family. I pray everyone had a safe and blessed week and ready for a restful weekend. Because no matter how much we do during the week, we must take time to rest and get re-energized in the Lord. If God took a day of rest from all of His work, should we not rest after a full week of work? The word rest is found in the New Testament 44 times, so apparently there are times we need to rest. Praise God.
Also, as we lift our voices to our Heavenly Father this morning in prayer. Please pray for the people in India that are going through a horrific time with the coronavirus. People are dying because they are running out of oxygen and supplies they need to help them. So, please pray for India.
Well, today is Friday’s Prayer and I will be posting scripture this morning for our prayer. It is good to pray what is on our hearts to pray, but sometimes it’s good to pray God’s Word back to Him as a reminder of His promises to us. Isaiah 43:26 says “Put Me in remembrance” and in another version it says “Remind me.” So, praying scripture is what we will be doing this morning with Psalm 121.
God the Help of Those Who Seek Him
A Song of Ascents.
PSALM 121
1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to [a]be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is your [b]keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall [c]preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve[d] your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.
Amen, Amen and Amen. God Bless 🙂
