Good Monday Morning Blog Family and Happy New Year. What a blessing to see another year, God is so good. Last year had a lot of stumbling blocks, but let us please learn from those stumbling blocks. So, that we will not make those same mistakes or bring that same old baggage into the New Year. Praise God.
I am so thankful to God for all that He did for me last year and even more thankful for Him allowing me to see another year. I am going into this New Year very positive and expecting God to do even greater things than He did last year. I know He loves me and He has my best interest at heart. I am very excited about everything I know He will do in my life this year. If you are a child of God, then you should be very excited as well.
Jeremiah 29:11 reads, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” He’s telling you in this verse that He already has plans reserved for you, along with hope and a future. Now, if I want anybody planning my future, it would definitely be my Heavenly Father. Why, because He knows what I need, He knows what’s best for me and He knows me better than I know myself.
So, this year if there are any New Year resolutions made, it should be to completely surrender and follow God, no matter what. To get closer to Him and allow Him to have complete control over you, your life and anything else that has anything to do with you. God knows everything and He doesn’t make mistakes, ever. He is never late with anything, He is always on time. It may not be your time, but God’s timing is not our timing, so He is always on time.
Make plans to seek Him more and to praise and worship Him more. Definitely spend more time with Him and have some good one on one time in His presence. Always be obedient to His Word and just do what He instructs you to do. I can’t stress that enough, because sometimes we think we can do things in our own strength and knowledge, when actually we need God. Philippians 4:13 reads, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” So, He is telling us we can do all things, but through Him and His strength.
So, please children of God, go into this New Year with God and let Him lead you and you follow. Let’s make this New Year about Him and not about us, because it is not about us, it is all about Him. Let’s do life His way this year and see how much better things will be for us and all those around us. Remember, it’s not just about all of the blessings and all that He does. It’s more about who He is, He is God, He is our Heavenly Father and He loves us. Just make sure you don’t forget to give Him love back. God Bless 🙂
