God Is Still A Good God and Still In Control

Good Wednesday Morning Blog Family. Praying everyone’s doing well and keeping God first in everything and all things. Especially after the Presidential Election 2024 results were in this morning. In every election there will be some happy people and some unhappy people. Through it all there is one certain thing that will never change and that is no matter who our President is, God is still God and He is still on the throne and still in control. John 14:27 says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid“. Praise God.

This morning I want to talk a little about the goodness of God. If all I said was “God is good” that would be enough. We have all made the statement “God is good all the time and all the time God is good,” and that is so true. Do you actually believe that when you say it? Do you allow the goodness of God to show in your everyday life? Do you remember how good God is when things in your life are not so good? We must remember, no matter what we go through, good or bad, God never changes and He is always good. Nahum 1:7 reads, “The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him,” So, even on your bad days, God is still good and He knows who runs to him, who’s trusting in His goodness. Psalm 34:8 reads, “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusts in Him.”

When we honestly believe that God is good all of the time, you will start to look at things differently. Even though there are a lot of horrific things going on around us, God is still good and He is still in control. Depending on how you see God determines your outlook and outcome on these things. There are times when we may not sense God anywhere around, but we know that He is. Deuteronomy 31:6 reads, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” So, it doesn’t matter who or what the “them’s” are in your life, God is with you and He will never leave you.

We have all gone through some kind of heartache, loss and brokenness at least once in our life. In those times your mind and feelings will have you questioning God and His goodness. Regardless of what you are thinking or feeling, God is still here and He is still in control. No matter what, He will never leave us nor forsake us, He is always with us, always. There may be people in your life that come and go, situations that are good and some bad, but one thing you can count on. God is still good, He is still in control and He loves you unconditionally and that will never, ever change. How do I know that, because He tells us all through the Bible and you can read it for yourself. God is love and He shows us everyday just how much He loves us. This world is a mess right now, and yes, God is still good and He is still in control.

Now, stop for a minute and think about this. If things are like they are now and God is good and still in control. Think about how things would be if God was not good and not in control. When you look at it that way, it shines a new light on things. We think things are really bad right now with all of the mess going on around us. But, just think of how bad things would be if it were not for the goodness and control of God. It would really be hell here on earth. So, the next time you are faced with some unpleasantries in your life. Just stop, take a deep breath and allow God’s love and goodness to cover you inside and out and acknowledge that He is still in control. Give God all of you and experience His goodness and let Him be in complete and total control. You will be so glad you did. God Bless 🙂

Prayer

Father God, we come to You in the Mighty Name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior and King. Giving You all of the praise, honor and glory that belongs to You. Coming to You as Your children, thanking You for all that You, Jesus and the Holy Spirit have done, still doing and will continue to do in the lives of Your children. You are such a good and gracious God and Father and we love You so much. Amen
