Good Wednesday Afternoon Blog Family. Today looks like it is going to be wet and cold, so make sure you go out prepared. Which brings me to my topic for today, “Going Out Prepared.” Praise the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Today, let’s talk about some real, in our face kind of stuff. I am sure every one has been staying up to date on the spreading of the coronavirus. In reading about this virus, some people are taking this very serious and they should because it is real and very serious. Then some people seem to think it’s just a scare tactic. Well, I don’t know what world they are living in, but when you contract a virus where you have to be quarantined and may end up dying, I think that has gone far beyond a scare tactic.
I can’t even imagine being taken from my family being put in quarantine, not knowing if I will be coming out of this alive. Even though this is a very scary and serious situation. As Christians, we still have to pray and trust God to take care and protect us. In situations like the coronavirus, what else can you do but trust God? We still have to be out around other people, going to work, going to school, going to church and going on with our everyday lives. We don’t know who has the virus or who doesn’t, and in some cases they don’t even know they have it. So, this is why we just have to pray and trust God because He knows who has it and who doesn’t. He is in control of everything and He has the last and final say in everything.
Philippians 4:6-7 reads, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Which is saying don’t worry, pray and trust God. then 1 Peter reads, “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” Again, God is telling us not to worry about anything, pray about it, give it to Him and trust Him to take care of you. Because He loves and He protects us as He tells us in Psalm 91, the prayer of protection. There are so many other scriptures in the Bible that you can stand on and believe God for.
So, blog family. I don’t know what kind of relationship you have with God. In these days and times, I pray it is a good and close relationship. There is no other way to live without fear and worry without God. So, if you have to question your relationship with God, that tells you it isn’t what it should be. Get in the Word, get right with God, build that one on one relationship, spend time on your face seeking His face, be obedient and follow His instructions. God tells us in Hosea 4:6 that His people will perish for lack of knowledge. Don’t be one of those people, get in the Word, read and study and find out what God wants you to do, then do it.
Continue to pray for me and my family as I continue to pray for you and yours during these perilous times that are spoken of in 2 Timothy 3:1-13. The end times are upon us and we need to be ready. God Bless π
