If Your Walls Could Talk

Good Monday Morning Blog Family. I pray everyone’s having a safe and blessed day in the Lord. Today is the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and a lot of people are off work today. So, however you are celebrating today, please stay safe and stay masked up if you are out in public. Praise God.

Well, today’s blog will probably make you think, which is a good thing. If the walls in your house could talk, what would they say about you? What would they have to say about your relationship with God, the type of spouse you are, what kind of parent you are, what kind of friend are you or what kind of Christian you are? Some people have two personalities, the person they are at home behind closed doors and the person they become when they are out in public. But oh, the walls in your house knows the real you, the one the outside world probably has never met.

Yes, I know that home is the place where we can kick back and relax and be ourselves. No one to impress or to make believe we are someone that we are not. Home is where we can be who we are, with no sugar coating or disguises. But, should we not be who we are all of the time, whether we are at home or out in public? Should we not act the same way all of the time, no matter where we are or who we are around? You would think that trying to be two different people would be a lot of extra unnecessary work. Kind of like trying to keep up with a lie, once you put it out there you have to keep it going and that can be hard work. Because somewhere down the line, you will slip up and end up getting caught. Like being the wrong person at the wrong time and then you will have blown your cover, then what?

Keep in mind, your walls are not the only one that knows the real you. Your Heavenly Father knows the real you, He knows your heart. So, stop and think about who you really are and who God has made you to be. Think about what your walls would have to say about you as a person, if they could talk. Better yet, think about what kind of person God sees you as, the real you. Can you say that you are proud of the person you are, the person God made you to be? Do you need to take off all of the fakeness and be yourself? Child of God, know this. God made you and He makes no mistakes and if you belong to Him, you are perfect in His Eyes.

So, be yourself, the real and true self, who God made you to be. If you live your life in a way that pleases God, then that is all that should matter. If God is pleased with you, He will take care of everyone else. Always remember who you are and whose you are. God Bless 🙂
