Introduce Your Child To God

Good Monday Afternoon. Starting a new week and starting it out with God, I pray. These days and times, everyday needs to be started out with God and I pray that it is. Making sure you and your families are prayed over and covered with the Blood of Jesus. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Today I wanted to talk about our children and their relationship with God. I know there are a lot of children that know God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. But there are a lot of children that do not and that is not good. As parents and grandparents, our children should know who God is, who Jesus is and who the Holy Spirit is. They should know everything that God did, everything that Jesus did and everything the Holy Spirit did and still doing. It’s great if they go to Sunday School because they will learn a lot about the Trinity. But don’t let that be an excuse for you not playing a part in their journey. Not just teaching them, but them seeing it in you and your daily life.

Children these days can memorize any song they like, any dance that comes out, recite word for word any part of a favorite movie scene and anything else they want to remember. Why not put a Bible in their hands and help them memorize some scriptures. Something that will help them in times of trouble when they are away from home and away from you. Teach them how to call on the Name of Jesus when something happens and to pray when you are not around. When they are sick, or have a test coming up. or have a friend in trouble, being bullied or whatever circumstance or situation. They need to know how to turn to Jesus and pray or quote a scripture over that situation. Teach them when they feel like they can’t come to you and talk about something, they can always talk to Jesus. He is right there with them at all times, ready to step in and help and they need to know this.

In today’s world, we have to have that one on one relationship with Jesus. There is absolutely no other option. Take the time and have Bible Study time with your children and pray for and with them. Let them see that one on one relationship with Jesus through you. Allow them to see you call on the Name of Jesus when faced with issues or praying for healing, or whatever is needing prayer. Take that time out with your children whether they attend Sunday School or not, this is very important. Their prayer life and relationship with Jesus will grow up in them and follow them for the rest of their lives.

So, if your children know God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and have a relationship with them, that is great. Encourage them to keep up the good work. But if they don’t, it is your job to make sure they do because you are responsible for them. Stop and take the time to introduce your children to the Trinity. You will be so glad that you did. God Bless πŸ™‚
