Living A Prayer Filled Life

Good Wednesday Morning Blog Family. I pray you are having an awesome week so far. Full of God’s grace and mercy and all of His love. God is so amazing and so is waking up to Him every morning to start my day. Trust me, if seeking God in the morning is not part of your morning routine, you have no idea what kind of day you are missing out on. Meeting with our Heavenly Father before we start our day makes for a safe and truly blessed day. Praise God.

I have a question for you this morning, another question to make you think. Let’s talk for a minute about your prayer life. First, let me ask you, do you live a prayer filled life. I’m not talking about the quick prayer on the way to work or the sleepy prayer before bedtime. No, I mean the kind of prayer where you actually stop for a minute and acknowledge God before you start to pray. When you take the time to go before Him in the mighty name of Jesus, making your requests known to Him. Philippians 4:6 reads, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”

There is nothing that goes on in our lives that we cannot talk to God about. Sometimes, I have gone before Him and just sat there in His presence, not really knowing what to say. But that’s ok too, because He knows my heart and He knows my every thought. Philippians 4:7 reads, “and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Sitting in His presence quietly also gives Him a chance to talk to me and I just listen. I am still learning to talk to God about things and praying about things instead of worrying about them.

Learn to pray about everything, not just the big things but the little things too. Let prayer become a way of life, always talking to God about whatever is on your heart. Because if it concerns you, it concerns God. Pray for other people and their needs, don’t get in the habit of just praying selfish prayers, intercede for others. Pray for your church, your neighborhood, your schools, the first line people everywhere, our country and leaders. Stop and take a look around you, I know there are things that need your prayers. Let prayer be your first choice instead of getting up set or worrying about things you have no control over. Talk to God about things before you decide to talk to someone else, let Him be your first choice and your only choice. Sometimes that can be very hard to do, I KNOW, but it can be done.

Children of God, living a life of prayer is not as hard as you may think it is. Living a prayer filled life is just living a life where you talk to God all day every day. Include Him in your choices, your decisions and your daily conversations. I have realized in my own prayer filled life, that I find talking to my Heavenly Father all day comes as natural to me as breathing. I don’t have to think about breathing, I just breathe. That’s what a prayer filled life should be like, not thinking about talking to God, but just talking to Him all day everyday about all things and everything. If Jesus prayed and talked to His Father during His time here on earth, shouldn’t you? God Bless 🙂
