Make And Be The Difference

Good Thursday Morning Blog Family. Today is Thursday we are almost at the end of another glorious week. You may ask, why would you say glorious week with all of the chaos and uncertainty going on around us? Because, even with all that is going on around us, this is still a day that God has made and it is a glorious day. So, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Thank You Jesus.

This is another oldie but goodie post from 2020. Every now and then I will reach back and repost something that I feel we need to be given a little reminder on.

I have a plaque hanging on my wall that reads “LORD, MAY I MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN ALL I DO, THE WORDS I SAY AND THE ACTIONS I TAKE. LORD, MAY I GLORIFY YOU THAT YOU MIGHT BE PLEASED WITH ME.” I remember giving this prayer to my grandchildren to memorize and pray every morning before going off to school. Even as an adult, this is an awesome prayer to pray. I would say this prayer each morning before going off to work or just to start my day. It’s a short prayer, but it is a powerful prayer. If we all prayed this prayer every morning and did exactly what it said, what a day we would have. What a difference we would make in our lives and in the lives of others around us.

All of us are faced with circumstances everyday and it is a choice how we react to or handle it. We can make the choice to act like the world would act or we could make the choice to act the way God expects us to act. My go to is to always think about what Jesus would do or how He would handle this. Believe it or not, it makes all the difference in the world. Because once you bring Jesus into it, it changes everything. It changes the way you look at things, it changes your thoughts about things, it changes the way you react to things. Thinking about what Jesus would do in your everyday life would eventually change you. After all, you would begin to follow in His footsteps and live the way He is leading you to live. How could you not change? Proverbs 16:9 reads, “The mind of a man plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.” How awesome is that?

So, I know you probably have your own morning routine and prayers to start your day. Why not add the above prayer to your mornings and see what a difference it makes in your day. The difference comes from doing exactly what it says to do. Don’t just make a difference, be the difference. God Bless 🙂
