Make Room For Jesus

Good Monday Morning. I pray everyone had a safe, blessed and thankful Thanksgiving. Getting back to our normal every day activities, going back to work and children going back to school. Remembering to keep God first in all that you do.

Since the Christmas season is upon us, I would like to talk a little bit about the reason for the season. You see that statement on Christmas cards, business windows, magazines, church programs, radio and tv commercials. Jesus IS the reason for the season, but sometimes I think we forget that.

In Luke 2, it talks about the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. From the time that Mary was visited by the angel to her giving birth to Jesus. Luke 2:7 reads, “And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”

My question to you is this, “Have You Made Room For Jesus” this Christmas? Being that He is the reason for this Christmas season. In all of your shopping and celebrations, have you included Jesus. We can get so caught up in all of the shopping, cooking, visiting, Christmas cards, Christmas trees and decorations. That we forget who we are celebrating and why we are celebrating Him.

Let’s even go a bit further than Christmas. Have you made room for Jesus in your hearts and in your everyday lives? When He knocked at the door of your heart, did you answer the knock and let Him in? Revelation 3:20 reads, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” So, if you let Him in, is He still there or have you pushed Him out by overcrowding your heart and lives with unnecessary stuff. Your everyday prayer should be,”Lord, more of You and less of me.”

All I am saying is this, don’t forget who and why we celebrate Christmas. Make room for Jesus this Christmas and keep Him in your hearts and lives all year round. Jesus is the true reason for the season. God Bless 🙂
