Good Monday Morning Blog Family. I pray everyone had a wonderful weekend and ready for a blessed week in the Lord. Praise God.
Well, I sat down at my computer this morning with my favorite cup of coffee and asked the Holy Spirit what was I to blog about this morning. Immediately, the words praise and worship came up in my Spirit. So, I said ok, praise and worship it is.
Being a Christian, we know that praise and worship should be a very big and important part of our everyday prayer life, our everyday walk with the Lord. So, just in case you don’t know how important praise and worship should be and is, I took it upon myself to do a little research for you. Global Disciples Canada gave this meaning of praise, ” Praise refers to lifting God up. It is the joyful recounting of what God has done for us. Praise and Thanksgiving go hand in hand as we thank God and offer appreciation for who He is. Praise is the acknowledgment of all the wonderful, righteous deeds of God. He is worthy of praise (Psalm 18:3).” Love Worth Finding gave this meaning of worship, “Worship is when we give our deepest affections and highest praise to something. True worship of God is when we love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. It’s when we prize God above everything else and put Him first in our hearts. As it says in Deuteronomy 6:4-5, โThe Lord our God, the Lord is one!”
Now, I couldn’t have given a more clear meaning of Praise and Worship, so it is very clear as to why these two words are very important in our Christian life. I don’t see how you could even pray without praise and worship, I don’t think it’s even possible. You know sometimes when I am around the house, a praise and worship will rise up in my spirit and I will break out into a song to Him or just start telling Him how much I love Him and appreciate Him. Telling Him how good He is and what a wonderful God and Father He is and then it goes from there. As good as God is to us, how can you not praise and worship Him every day.
Sometime in the evening after I have completed my daily agenda, I will sit down and turn on my praise and worship music and just start to praise and worship God. After a little bit then I feel that I have been ushered into His presence and then it gets real good then, if you know what I mean. If your praise and worship before God is real, then you know exactly what I mean. Sing to Him, tell Him how awesome He is. Being in His presence is like nothing else you will ever experience. I listen to praise and worship by Victor Thompson and let me tell you, it is such an anointing and he just ushers me right into God’s presence. I love God so much and He knows my heart and when I come before Him with my praise and worship, He know it’s real, straight from my heart.
There is a song that I sing to God when I am praising and worshiping Him that says, “I love you Lord and I lift my voice to worship You, oh my soul rejoice. Take joy my King in what You hear and let it be a sweet sound in Your ear.” Then there is this one, “Create in me a clean heart and purify me. Cast me not away from Your presence, please don’t take your spirit from me. Restore in me the joy of Your salvation, so that I may worship You.” There are so many anointed praise and worship songs out there that you can make your own and make your praise and worship personal. A love song to Your Heavenly Father. God Bless ๐
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come to You in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Your Son and our Lord and Savior. Giving You all of the Praise that belongs to You. Thanking You for being such a good God and Father. Help us to be able to give you heart filled praise and worship every day as we go through our day. Help us to always remember who You are and to always acknowledge You. You are a loving God and Father who loves, cares and protects us every day. When we open our mouths, the praise should just pour out of our hearts to You. Help us to live our lives in a way that pleases You. Amen
