Good Monday Morning Blog Family. Praying that all of you had a very restful and blessed weekend. Up this morning with the Father and ready to start your day and week in the Lord. Praise God.
Over the last 40 days, I have been participating in the “40 Day Worship Experience, A Surrender Journey” by Dr. Mark Jones. This was an added addition to my mornings with my Heavenly Father and it was so worth it. Dr. Jones gave a small prayer for an example to pray or as a conversation starter. He was making a point of how important it was to give Jesus the first 15 minutes of your day and it was amazing. So amazing that I am going to re-do this again.
The sample prayers that Dr. Jones gave have been listed below:
“Jesus, I surrender my will to Your.”
“Jesus, give me Your peace.”
“Jesus, I trust You.”
“Jesus, I need You.”
“Jesus, thank You.”
Jesus, I love You.”
“Jesus, forgive me.”
“Jesus, give me Wisdom and Guidance.”
If you have the You Version Bible App on your phone and you have many devotional choices, you can choose this devotion and take the journey, you will be so glad you did. It just gave me more conversations to have in the morning with Jesus. Now, I am thanking Him all throughout my day for things going on in my life or sometimes just thanking Him for just how good He is. These small simple prayers can be added to as much as you would like to add. They are like little prayer starters and once you say for instance, “Jesus, thank You,” you would be surprised at what happens next, it is amazing. Try it and you will know exactly what I am talking about.
I also came across a little prayer that someone posted on my facebook page and I wrote it down on an index card and placed it in my Bible. So, everyday I open my Bible to read, I say that little prayer and it pretty much covers everything. I have also listed it below:
“Lord Jesus,
Strengthen me where I am weak,
Mend what is broken in me,
And Heal what is sick in me,
In Your precious name.
Thank You and Amen”
1st Thessalonians 5:16-18 reads, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” This is what we are being instructed to do throughout our day and it is not hard to do. I have given example above, just little simple prayers that are very easy to remember. It’s pretty much talking to God under your breath or out loud as you carry out your day. God Bless 🙂
Prayer
Father God, we come to You in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Your Son and our Lord and Savior and King. Giving You all of the praise, honor and glory that belongs to You. Thanking You, Jesus and Holy Spirit for all that You have done, all that You are doing and all that You will continue to do in the lives of Your children. Watching over us and keeping safe from all harm and danger, protecting us throughout or day and night. Thank You for hearing us when we pray and being with us, never leaving nor forsaking us. Thank You for loving us so much. We love you. Amen
