Satan – The Father Of Lies

Good Wednesday Morning. I pray everyone’s having a safe and blessed week so far. Ready to walk that walk and talk that talk this morning and all through the rest of the week. Also praying for everyone that has been in the paths of these hurricanes and flooding’s. We have been getting rain for the past couple of days, but not the way some places have. So, please keep them in your prayers.

In my blogs, I am mostly talking about and lifting up the name of our Heavenly Father God, our Lord and Savior Jesus and our Helper the Holy Spirit. This morning I want to put out a little warning about the other guy, Satan the father of lies. He always seem to pop up when you least expect him and during our weak moments. He doesn’t always show up in the way you would expect him to, so stay alert and attentive and stay in the Word.

I am sure everyone knows that the Satan is the father of lies and that is all he can do. He doesn’t know how to tell the truth because the truth is not in him. John 8:44 reads, “There is no truth in him for he is a liar and the father of lies.” So, anytime he comes to you with anything, you already know it’s a lie. Don’t believe anything he tries to tell you or put out in front of you, he is up to no good. Whether he’s trying to remind you of your past, causing strife in your relationships, telling you God doesn’t love you, or God won’t forgive you for something you’ve done. It doesn’t matter what it is, it is a lie.

Jesus tells us in John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill and to destroy. So, if he is slithering around you and your family, you need to take the Word and kick him out. Because Jesus already told you what he is there for, to steal something from you, to kill you or to destroy something. These things could be your marriage, your home, your children, your health, your finances, your life, etc. It does’t matter to him what or who it is and he doesn’t play fair. So, like any other thief, don’t let him prowl around you, your family or your home.

1 Peter 5:8 reads, “Be sober, vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” So, again we are told what he is hanging around for. Now pay attention to the scripture you just read. It tells you how he disguises himself like a roaring lion, which is another lie, just one of his scare tactics. He can’t do anymore to you than you allow him to do. James 4:7 reads, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

So, there you have it. You know what he comes around for and the trouble he intends to cause. Go to the Word of God, find your scriptures to beat him with, resist him and he has to go. Have a blessed week. God Bless 🙂
