The Church Is Not A Building

Good Wednesday Morning. Praying that everyone’s having a blessed week so far. Starting this New Year of 2020 filled and ready to do what my Heavenly Father has called me to do. I am on fire and ready to go and I pray all of you are as well. Ready to be obedient to whatever is asked of you, no matter what that may be.

I wanted to talk a little bit about one of our Sunday School discussions a few weeks ago. The discussion was about the Church and the building we call a Church. As we already know, the Church is not the building we gather in on Sunday morning. The building, which is called a Church is a building used for Christian worship services or other religious activities.

In the days when Jesus started His ministry, He was not preaching and teaching in a building. The people gathered wherever He was and that was the Church, the people. There were times in history where Christians had to hide in different places and houses to gather together and worship. Even though we refer to the building with the crosses and steeples as a Church, it is not. The Christians that gather together in that building with crosses and steeples, are the Church.

When you think about all of the Christians that are not able to go to that building every Sunday. They may be sick, in the hospital, on bed rest, elderly and can’t get around, on the road with your job or whatever the reason may be. You can still worship right where you are. Matthew 18:20 reads, “For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them.” To me that is saying whether you are in the building or somewhere else. Two or three of you gathered together in His name, He is right there with you.

Just because you may not be able to get to that building on Sunday morning does not mean you missed Church. You only missed the fellowship with other Christians (the Church) gathering together to worship God. So, have a God filled rest of the week and be the Church you were called to be, no matter where you are. God Bless 🙂

The Bible in the new testament book of Acts, 7/48-50, verses, declares that God does not dwell in Temples made with hands. But, instead, Apostle-Paul, writes, God lives inside of each believer, when we are saved. After being filled with the Holy-Ghost. Our human bodies become God’s temple, for him to dwell in, for ever while we exist in this life as we know it today!

Thank you so much for the word. I was at your women Conference last year and really enjoy myself. Please keep me in prayer. Going through some issues with my kidney on the left. They think it’s Cancer. To God be the Glory. I know God is a healer. And what man thinks God has the power to change things in a blinking of the eye. I thank God already for my test to come back negative and I am healed. I don’t know you personally. But I do know the Christ that lives in you and we are sister in Christ. I love you and keep doing what God has called you to do.

      Good Afternoon Sharrion,
I pray this email finds you in good spirits and resting in the Lord. I would like to thank you for attending the Women’s Conference last year and I am so glad that you enjoyed it. Even more thankful that it touched you enough to reach out to me through my Blog. I am so glad you replied to my blog and shared a little of what is going on with you and your health. I wanted you to know that I am standing with you in prayer for a negative report and for your complete healing. We may not know each other personally as you stated, but we are sisters in Christ, so that makes us family in the Body of Christ. I am praying that not only your kidney be healed but He gives you a brand new kidney. Healing your body from the crown of your head to the souls of your feet, inside and outside and all in between. Making you whole, healthy, healed and complete in Jesus. Thanking God in advance for what we know He has already done. Thank You Jesus for healing my sister in Christ, Sharrion. Amen, Amen and Amen.
I would also like to leave you a couple of scriptures to stand on during the time you are waiting on your report from the doctor. We are standing in agreement on the Word of God and believing you are healed in Jesus name.

Isaiah 53:5 ” But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”

Psalm 91:9-10 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”

Psalm 103:1-5 “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, o my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases; who redeems your soul from destruction; who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies; who satisfies your mouth with good things; so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

Psalm 118:17 “I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the Lord.

As the song says, “Who’s report shall you believe? We shall believe the report of the Lord. His report says I am healed, His report says I am filled, His report says I am free, His report says victory.” I love you too and please don’t forget to send me your praise report. God Bless 🙂
