The God Of Chance, After Chance, After Chance

Good Wednesday Morning Blog Family. I pray all of you are doing well this morning. Father, I ask right now in Jesus name, that You bless my Blog Family the way they need to be blessed. Be to them what they need You to be at the time they need You to be it. Thank You Jesus and Amen.

My daughter and I were talking about some things she had read in the Bible. The conversation started out by her talking about God had answered her prayers concerning her son. We were talking about the fact that people would not be able to make it today if God did us like He did the people in the Old Testament. As we know, back in the Old Testament days, when yoh disobeyed God, you lost your life. There were no second chances. When God told you to do something and you didn’t, you were no more.

Now, think about how that would work in this world today. There is so much disobedience and so much not even acknowledging God. People who don’t even believe in God, it would be a sad time if we were living as the Old Testament people. Thank God for His Son Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Thank You Jesus for what You did back then and what You are still doing today. Thank You Father for loving us enough to give us Your Son to take our place and take our sins upon himself at the Cross.

I have heard people say that God is the God of a second chance. No, God is the God of a second, third, fourth, fifth and more chances. He is a Father with open and loving arms, waiting on us to come to Him as many times as it takes. He loves us so much and doesn’t want any of His children to perish. That’s why He gives us chance, after chance, after chance to be obedient to Him and His Word.

A good example of a good father’s live would be the parable of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15:11-32. I am sure we have all read this parable or heard it taught in church. If nor, please read it when you have time. Then you will have another example of how much our Father loves us and how many times He forgives us. He is such a loving and forgiving God, always waiting for us to return to Him when we get off track. He will be standing there with His arms open wide ready to receive His child back to Himself. Thank You Jesus.

So, can you remember how many times you have been given chance, after chance, after chance? As many times as needed for you to get it right, whatever it was. Then after He forgives us, He forgets it. Micah 7:19 reads, “He will again have compassion on us; He will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. Which means that God won’t remember our sins once He has forgiven them.” That’s just how much our Heavenly Father loves us. God Bless 🙂

Prayer

Father, we come to You this morning in the name of Jesus. We come to You with a grateful and thankful heart for all of the times You have given us chances upon chances. Forgiving us for things we have done and then forgetting it. You are so good to us. Thank You Father. Amen
