Good Wednesday Morning Blog Family. I pray this blog finds everyone whole, healthy, healed and complete in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Praise God.
In case you are not sure what a perilous pestilence is, I am going to give you a very good example. First, I am going to give you the definition of these two words and then I will give you an example. Perilous means “danger.” Pestilence means, “any infectious, fatal disease that is widespread, any epidemic disease that is highly contagious, infectious.” So, looking at these two word definitions, I think a very good example would be the coronavirus.
Now, for a peace of mind during these perilous times. In Psalm 91 which is our prayer of protection. Psalm 91:3 reads, “Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence.” That says to me that God will deliver me from the coronavirus. Psalm 91:5-6 reads, “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.” That says to me I am not to be afraid of the coronavirus, no matter when or how it comes, day or night. Psalm 91:9-10 reads, “Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;” That says to me that God is my dwelling place and my hiding place, so no evil or plague or coronavirus shall come near my dwelling place. Definition of dwelling place is a house, apartment, or other place of residence. So, the coronavirus shall not come near my home and if I am dwelling in God, it will not come near me.
This is why on Friday for Friday’s Prayer I post Psalm 91 because it is our prayer of protection and God tells us all the ways we are protected by Him. So, blog family, please do not start to live in fear or let the media put fear in you. You must remember, our God is much bigger than all of this. Why worry about something that you have no control over and can do nothing about. God knows who has this virus and who doesn’t, we don’t. So, just believe and trust God to do what He says in Psalm 91. You just do your part and stay connected to God and exercise your faith in Him. Be obedient and follow His instructions. God is in control and He has the last and final Word. God Bless 🙂
