Trusting God in Everything

Proverbs 3:5-6 reads (5) Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (6) in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. When I read this scripture, it says only one thing to me. I am to trust God no matter what! No matter how big the problem may be or how bad the situation or circumstance you may be facing. Trust Him no matter what the doctor says, when there’s more bills than money. No matter what we are faced with, we have to learn to trust God in it and through it all. Even if we don’t understand it, just trust Him.

See, God defines the victories in our lives, not us. He knows what’s best for us better than we know ourselves. God’s plans for us are always so much better than our own plans. Jeremiah 29:11 reads “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Because the truth is, God knows what tomorrow brings and we don’t. Whatever day comes and wherever we go, God is already there.

God may be allowing you to be put in a place or a situation that you can’t fix. Then you will have to trust Him to do what only He can do. This is why it is so important to trust God, because sometimes things aren’t always what they seem to be. When we focus on those things, situations and circumstances, we miss God. But when we focus on God, those things, situations and circumstances will change. Before we were born, God had a plan for our lives, but so did Satan. So, who are going to trust? Who’s voice are going to listen to?

Psalm 91:2 reads, “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” I trust God to do what He says in His Word. I believe what God says in His Word. I know if He said it He will bring it to pass in my life if I believe and trust Him. Because sometimes God is protecting us from things we don’t even know we need protecting from. We have to trust Him with things we don’t know and things we don’t understand. So, no matter what, just trust God. God Bless 🙂

    Yes, I’ll trust you Lord!
It’s so easy to say we will trust Him when all is well or going the way we want it to. However, at the times we should be seeking God more (sickness, loss of love one or job…) we tend to become angry or withdraw from Him.
