Walking in Paul’s Shoes

Good Monday Morning Blog Family and Happy Memorial Day. Praying everyone had a safe and blessed weekend and ready to start a new week. I would like to honor all of the military men and women today, that lost their lives protecting our country. I am so thankful and grateful for their bravery and dedication. Thank You Jesus.

I have been reading about the life of Paul, and it has truly been a journey and a blessing. Paul endured so much because of his faithfulness in Jesus Christ. He was arrested, beaten, put in jail, ship wrecked, snake bitten, lied on and in and out of court for things he was not guilty of. Although, he had to endure all of this, not one time did he turn away from Jesus. He stood his ground and never changed what he was preaching and teaching no matter what was done to him. The way people treated him and talked about him did not make him change his walk or his talk.

Even when he said in 2 Corinthians 2:7-10, “(7)I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. (8)Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me.”(9) But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (10)That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” Now, how many of us can say that and mean it. How many of us now go through things and have asked God to take it away, but He doesn’t. Can we just look at our situation like Paul did and rejoice for what God is doing in our lives, even if we don’t understand it?

This is such a good lesson for all of us who say we are Christians and following Jesus. Do you think you could walk in Paul’s shoes? Could you be able to endure what Paul endured and keep your faith in Jesus and continue to walk with Him? Reading about Paul has made me look at my own Christian life and my walk. What are people seeing in me and hearing when I speak? I pray every day and ask the Holy Spirit to help me in my walk in my Christian life and in my calling in a way that makes my Father proud. Because my life is not about me, it is all about Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Allowing people to see and hear Him in me.

Paul’s life made me think about Pastors that get up in the pulpit and preach what the congregation wants to hear, instead of what God’s Word says. Because some Pastors are led by people and money and not by God. This is why it is so important to read and study the Bible for yourself, to make sure you are getting what is coming from God and not man. So, when you have some free time, pick up your Bible and read about the life of Paul. It will so bless your life and give your faith a boost and at the same time, it will make you look at your life, your faith, your walk and your talk as a Christian following after Jesus. God Bless πŸ™‚
