Watch And Pray

Happy Wednesday Morning Blog Family. This is the day that the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24). Thank you Lord for another glorious day that you are guiding us through. Keeping us washed, cleansed and protected through the precious blood of Jesus. Praise Your holy name.

My daughter and I were talking last night about people still not taking this covid-19 serious. You still have people that will not wear masks to save their life or anyone else’s life. People of all ages continuing to contract this virus with some getting through it and some not, (praying for all). We have to realize that there are a lot of people in this world that are also of this world. They have no respect for authority or rules that are set in place for safety reasons. They don’t know God and don’t plan on getting to know Him and that is so sad. Because the shape this world is in right now, I believe Jesus can appear at any given time. If you don’t think so, read the Book of Revelation.

I was reading some scriptures last night that I wanted to share with you today. The first one is Matthew 24:42-44 which reads, 42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

The second one is Luke 21:34-36 which reads, 34 “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. 35 For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. 36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

As children of God, we know to always watch and pray. Not living as the world lives but as children of God. We are in this world but we are not of this world, this is not our home. We should not let a day go by that we are not praying for ourselves, our families, loved ones and others. This is why I was telling you in Monday’s blog, to stay focused and keep your eyes on Jesus. Continue to be watchful and pray because the end of our journey is drawing near. Just think, one day we will be in our new home with our Heavenly Father for all eternity. Now, that’s something to think about. God Bless 🙂
