We Are The “My People”

Good Morning Blog Family. I pray you had a good weekend and ready to start a new week. I know a lot of people are working from home and children are being home schooled, but it is still a new week. Full of God’s Grace and new Mercies every morning. Lamentations 3:22-23 reads, ” (22) Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. (23) They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” Thank You Father for Your Grace and Mercy. Praise the Mighty Name of Jesus.

I know churches have closed their doors because of social distancing. Although the doors are closed, there are so many ways to still get the Word. Pastors and teachers are on the internet, t.v., you tube, facebook and many other types of social media. The Word is still being preached and taught, just not in person. This is also the time for you to pick up your Bible, open it and start reading and studying to find out what God wants you to do. Hosea 4:6 reads, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” So, my question to you is, are you a My People? If you are a child of God that makes you a My People and He is talking to you. Please don’t be destroyed for lack of knowledge because you won’t get in the Word and study. 2 Timothy 2:15 reads, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Just because we can’t gather together at the building we call the church does not mean we still can’t have church. Dear Hearts, we are the church. So, if we are the church then you and your family should be having church at home. Yes, it is good to get the word through listening to some good preaching and teaching when you can. You can also gather your family together in the living room, around the kitchen table, the dining area or wherever it is you gather and have church. Matthew 18:20 reads, “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” So, gather everyone together, put on some praise music, open up the Word of God, pray, praise, worship. Jesus is right there in the midst. So, lets have church.

We have got to do this, it is the only way we are going to get through these perilous times. 2 Chronicles 7:14 reads, “if my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” So, right out of the mouth of God, telling us what we need to do. My question again is, are you a My People? If you are a child of God, then that makes you a My People and God is talking to you. It’s time to humble ourselves, pray and seek His face and turn from our wicked ways. My God, My God. He has given us the way out and now it’s time to be obedient and do what we are being told to do.
