What Are You Allowing In Your Temple

Good Wednesday Morning Blog Family. I pray everyone’s having an awesome morning in the Lord. Praise the name of Jesus.

If you are a Christian, then you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. This is where God’s Spirit dwells in us if it is not too cluttered with junk or unnecessary stuff. As you read the scriptures below as to hat Jesus did when He arrived at the temple of God full of stuff that shouldn’t have been in there. The temple were full of all the wrong people doing all the wrong things in the temple, please read below John 2: 13-16.

Jesus Cleanses the Temple

13 Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers [a]doing business. 15 When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables. 16 And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!”

Jesus said, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!” Is there anything in your temple that would make Jesus act the same way He did in the scriptures above? Do you make sure your temple is a place where God’s Holy Spirit can dwell? Or is it full of worldly things that should not be there? Things like gossip, unforgiveness, back biting, foolish and course talk, bad habits and addictions, demonic activities, lying, being untrustworthy, jealousy, dishonesty, committing adultery and the list could go on and on. I think you get the idea of what I am saying with the examples given.

Some of us as Christians don’t allow certain things, activities or certain people in our homes. We can be very protective over what God has blessed us with and we should fill the same exact way about His temple He has entrusted to us. Our bodies which were bought and payed for by His Son Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. When we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior our bodies became God’s temple and dwelling place for His Holy Spirit and we should treat it as such. So, think about what you allow in your temple and make sure to keep it pleasing unto our Heavenly Father. God Bless 🙂

Prayer

Father God, we come to You in the Mighty Name of Jesus as humble as we know how. Thanking You for the dwelling of Your precious Holy Spirit in our temples. Help us to keep our temples clean and in order. Thank You and Amen.
