Good Monday Morning Blog Family. I pray everyone’s having a blessed morning and praising God. This morning I would like to talk about what we are speaking into our lives. Are we speaking blessings or curses?
I wonder if people ever pay attention to what’s being said when they talk? Sometimes we say things out of habit because that’s what we have gotten custom to saying. When we speak things into our life, we are prophesying over ourselves, whether it’s positive or negative. Mark 11:23 reads, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” This is why it is very important to get in the Bible and find out what God says about us. Then get in the habit of saying what God says, not what you feel.
So, God is saying we will have whatever we say. My question is, what are we saying? Are we believing the things we say, whether good or bad? You know how we talk. There are a lot of negative and damaging things that we say everyday, automatically without even thinking. We need to pay attention to what we are speaking into our lives. Because you can’t blame God for what you have spoken into your own life. You create storms in your life with your words and then expect God to calm the storms. Sorry, it does not work that way. I love the way Proverbs 18:21 reads in the New Living Translation, “The tongue can bring death and life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.” It doesn’t get any plainer than that. What are you talking about, what are you saying about your life?
Proverbs 13:3 reads, “Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.” Proverbs 21:23 reads, Those who guard their mouths and their tongues keep themselves from calamity. God Bless 🙂
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come to You in the Mighty Name of Jesus, giving You all of the praise and all of the glory and all of the honor. Father, help us to say what You say about us and believe it. Help us to know who we are in Christ. Thank You and Amen.
