Good Monday Morning Blog Family. How’s everyone doing this glorious morning? I pray everyone’s looking forward to a blessed and safe week. I know that I am and I know that it will continue because God is in control. Thank You Jesus.
Well, this morning I woke up very early and had my prayer time with the Father. Then I had to take my daughter and granddaughter to Mesquite for a doctors appointment. So, I decided to write my blog while they were inside.
This morning I would like to talk about life verses and what they are. As I was reading some of the research information, I started reading about “Life Verses.” At that point I had no idea what a life verse was, at least I didn’t think I did until I read a little further. On dayspring.com, a life verse is defined as this, “a Bible verse or even a small passage of inspirational Scripture that speaks to your heart directly.” Wow, I then realized I had many life verses, I was just not aware that is what they were called. The scripture verses that we read daily or memorize, standing on the Word of God, these are our life verses.
Some of my favorite life verses are Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon formed against me shall prosper.” 1 John 4:4 “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Nehemiah 8:10 “The joy of the Lord is my strength.” Isaiah 53:5 “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And my His stripes we are healed.” Romans 8:31 “What, then, shall we say in response to these thing? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Ok, so I am going to stop listing some of my favorite life verses, because I could go on and on. I have memorized some scriptures and some I have written down. I have taped scriptures to my fridge, on walls in each room of the house, on the wall next to the front door and so on. These are scriptures that have become part of my everyday life and I quote them often if not everyday. Especially when I am going through something, I have certain scriptures I stand on until I see a break through or just for comfort.
This is why you need to have scriptures written down if not memorized, whichever is easiest for you. Always have them available when ever you need them. You may not have time to go through the Bible and find them at that time or you may not have your Bible with you. Always be prepared, don’t allow yourself to be caught off guard and unprepared. Having scriptures to stand on should be part of your everyday life, seriously. So, if you don’t have any favorite life verses or scriptures, take some time and go through the Bible and find you some. I promise, you will be glad you did. God Bless 🙂
