What Level Is Your Faith?

Good Monday Morning Blog Family. I pray all of you had a restful, safe ad blessed weekend. Ready to go into another glorious week with the Lord. Praise the name of Jesus.

So, Sunday morning after my husband and I had our church on the truck, and it was good. I decided to do some Bible reading and studying from the Book of Joshua. Let me just say this, “If you have never read the Book of Joshua in the Old Testament, you need to.” I have read through it and looked up scriptures in it before, but never really studied it until now. What a faith builder.

I do all of my Bible studying in my NKJV Bible from Dr. Charles Stanley with a lot of foot notes and life lessons added in for studying. Dr. Stanley is such a good Bible teacher and makes Bible study so easy to understand and very interesting. I said that to say this. In studying the Book of Joshua, he lists 4 levels of faith, in which I have listed below.

  1. No Faith says, No way thats impossible.
  2. Little Faith says, God can.
  3. Great Faith says, I’m sure He will.
  4. Perfect Faith says, It’s done.

Now, that made me stop and think about my own faith level and to look at the level of faith Joshua had in God. Everything that God instructed Joshua to do, he did it. Because Joshua had enough faith in God to know He would do what He said He would do. Joshua had seen what God had done through and with Moses and God told Joshua He was going to do the same thing with and through him. Joshua just had to be obedient to God.

Remember when God gave Joshua instructions at Jericho? In Joshua 6:3-5, God gave Joshua these instructions. (3) “You shall march around the city all you men of war; you shall go all around the city once. This you shall do six days. (4)”And seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark. But the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets. (5)”It shall come to pass, when they make a long blast with the rams’ horn and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with a great shout; then the wall of the city will fall down flat. And the people shall go up every man straight before him.”

Now, Joshua did exactly what God instructed him to do and the walls of Jericho came down. It wasn’t the marching and the shouting that brought the walls down. It was Joshua’s obedience to God. Joshua did what God instructed him to do and God did what He told Joshua He would do. There is always a part for us to do in obedience to God before God does His part. This is where our faith in God comes in. Having enough faith to trust God and take Him at His Word.

So, my question to you Child of God is this “What level is your faith?” The No Way It’s Impossible Faith, The God Can Faith, the I’m Sure He Will Faith or The It’s Done Faith? Do you have the kind of faith in God to bring those Jericho walls down in your life, whatever they may be? Faith is what pleases God. Hebrews 11:6 reads, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” God Bless 🙂

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we come to You this morning in the mighty name of Jesus. Giving You all of the praise, glory and honor that You deserve. Help us to have that “It’s Done” kind of faith. To know that if You said it, we can trust and believe it is done. Thank You Father. Amen
