Good Wednesday Morning Blog Family. I pray that you and your family started your day going before the Father this morning, which makes for a safe and blessed day in the Lord. Praise God and Thank You Jesus.
Tuesday morning I was reading my devotion which a testimony was being given around Matthew 6. As I read Matthew, I realized that God was speaking to me. I have been dealing with a few health issues that I realized by worrying about them all of the time would only make them worse over time. I had to make a decision to completely and totally trust God with what I had no control over and give my worries and concerns to Him. Once I did that, things in my health started to change for the better and I am so thankful.
I had been listening to Pastor Joseph Prince teaching on Healing and he said that when we stress and worry about things such as our health, it only makes things worse. Because as we all know, stress causes a lot of unwanted things to take place in our lives, especially our health. That is exactly what I was experiencing. So, I took a piece of paper and wrote down everything that I was experiencing, such as stress, worry, anxiety, negative thoughts of what if’s, and on and on. After writing all of this negativity down and giving it to God, I then balled the paper up and threw it in trash. None of the things on that list belonged to me any more, I had given it all to God and I was determined not to take it back. My health has improved and getting better everyday.
Sometimes the devil will try and sneak a negative thought back in and I will just tell him that he needs to talk to God about it, I gave it to God and it doesn’t belong to me anymore. I will confess that as many times as I have to until he leaves me alone. Praise God. God has never failed me and I know that He never will, He does exactly what He says He will do in His Word and I believer every Word He says. This is where faith, trust and belief comes in and it works. I am on of those Christians that believes every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, whether I completely understand it or not, if He said it then I believe it. Period!
Sometimes we are so quick as Christians to tell everyone else to pray about things, trust God on everything and have faith and just believe what He says in His Word. Although, when we are going through those same things, we need to put that same advice into practice that we have given to others, instead of worrying or stressing. I can say that because I am very guilty of that until I stop and take a deep breath and think about what I am doing or not doing. Then, I put myself back on track with God. Sometimes it even takes another Christian pulling you back in and saying things to you that you already know, you just needed to hear it.
I took it upon myself to add Matthew 6 below in order for you to go ahead and read and not put it off until later. Read it as many times as you need to in order for you to understand it in it’s entirety.
MATTHEW 6
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
27Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.
29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?
31So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Now, I don’t think anything else needs to be said after that.”
I think Matthew 6 says it all, so there is not a need for me to say anything else. God Bless 🙂
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come to You in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Your Son and our Lord and Savior. Giving You all of the praise, glory and honor that belongs to You. Thanking You, Jesus and the Holy Spirit for all that You do for us 24/7. We are so thankful and grateful for Your Word and being who You are in our lives. Being God out front and behind the scene and taking care of us knowingly and unknowingly. So, help us to now worry or stress about anything going on in our lives, just to have faith, believe, and trust in You at all times. Amen
