Good Monday Morning. I pray everyone had an awesome weekend and ready to start a new week. This is the last week before Thanksgiving and it will probably be a busy week. Planning the gathering of family and friends and good food and many prayers of Thanksgiving.
I would like you to take a few minutes and think back to your childhood days. My Father was in the military and was away from home a lot, which just left us and our Mother at home. If you were like us and many other children, there were times you did something that you weren’t supposed to do. Then you would try and hide it from your Mother and Father finding out. But no matter how hard we tried to hide whatever it was, they would still always find out. It’s like they saw everything, heard everything and knew everything. It was impossible to get away with anything.
That brings to mind another Father that knows all, hears all and sees all. It doesn’t matter what, when, where, how or who, He knows all about us. You can’t hide anything from Him and you can’t even lie your way out of anything, because He already knows all things. As a matter of fact, He knows everything you are up to before you do. There are three words that describe our Heavenly Father. I did my research and found these definitions of those three words:
Omnipotence: Means God is all powerful. He does not have limitations as men. He is limitless and has power over everything.
Omniscience: Means God is all knowing. He knows all things in the past, the present and the future. He knows all there is to know and all that can be known.
Omnipresence: Means God is all present. He is capable of being everywhere at the same time. There is no place anywhere that He is not there. He is everywhere at once.
Psalm 139:1-10 reads, ” (1) You have searched me, Lord, and You know me. (2) You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar. (3) You discern my going out and my lying down; You are familiar with all my ways. (4) Before a word is on my tongue You, Lord, know it completely. (5) You hem me in behind and before, and You lay your hand upon me. (6) Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. (7) Where can I flee from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? (8) If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. (9) If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, (10) even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast.”
As you can see, there is nothing that can be hid from God, absolutely nothing. We can’t hide from Him and we can hide nothing from Him. So, instead of being concerned about hiding things from men, you should be more concerned about God seeing and knowing everything and being everywhere. Luke 8:17 reads, “For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will be known and come to light.” So just remember, you can’t hide or hide anything from our Heavenly Father. He is wherever you are and even where you are not. God Bless π
